One Half Studs – Honey Mother of Peal, Sterling Silver
True to our design ethos, these versatile earrings honor nature’s creations. At center stage is mother of pearl, an iridescent honey tone displaying subtle hints of color when it catches the light. Dainty, yet bold, the Half Studs were designed with versatility in mind; wear as set, a solo stud, or mix and match with your favorite gemstones.

Mother of pearl is the resilient, iridescent material produced by some molluscs. We source our mother of pearl from an individual who purchased old button factories that were manufacturing products between 1860 and 1970. The mother of pearl used in this design was originally destined for the buttons and decorative elements of instruments.
We purchase ear posts and ear nuts from a small business located in New York City’s diamond district. While much of the metal in their products is indeed recycled, they are unable to certify their materials as 100% recycled due to the prohibitively expensive certification process. While this is one link in our supply chain that needs improvement, we are also proud to support small local businesses and believe that our support will only help them achieve sustainable milestones as they grow.
